Chance to Meet

An opportunity for sensory impaired children and their families to take part in a range of fun activities

BID’s Chance to Meet service provides sensory impaired children and their families with opportunities to meet, socialise and share experiences across the county of Lincolnshire. We welcome all family members and activities are either free or have a small charge.

The Service is funded through Children in Need and other donations, and allows the whole family to take part in a range of events. Activities currently taking place include pizza making, sport events such as sailing, music sessions and sensory activities at local parks and nature reserves. We also hold a weekly youth club in Lincoln for young people aged 8 – 18 years.

The team work closely with other national and local organisations such as SEST, Sense, The Ear Foundation and NDCS.

We are always seeking fundraising ideas and volunteers to support us in making these events sustainable and successful, so if you are a volunteer with some time on your hands, we would love to hear from you.
